Welcome

Dear Friends,

Think about our ability to study the wonders of science and the intricacies of mathematics and explicitly praise God for the beauty and gift of these things. Think about our ability to actively cultivate a personal relationship with God, to explore prayer and to join together in prayers of intercession for the needs of our community and world. All of these and many more powerful aspects of our Catholic faith and Christian life are integrated into our school curriculum and activities.

“Dynamic Education Centered in Christ”—that’s what Saint Thomas the Apostle School is all about. This is the privilege afforded us by a Catholic School—by our Catholic School. We live our mission of providing a dynamic education centered in Christ by inviting Christ to be at the center of everything we do and of all that we are. That’s what makes us different…and special. We cherish our mission, we devote ourselves to it and we warmly welcome our families and their children to benefit from its rich possibilities.

We firmly believe that parents are the primary educators of their children and strive to work together with our parents in a mutual partnership to ensure that our students—your children—receive the best possible education we can provide—spiritually, intellectually and emotionally.  Communication between home and school is extremely important. We keep lines of communication open through our “Peacemaker Pieces” school newsletter, individual classroom newsletters, voicemail, email, parent-teacher-student conferences, a New Family Welcome, Fall Parent Meetings and Open Houses, regularly scheduled meetings of our Education Commission, Home and School Association, and Boosters Organization, and through our school Website.

We also offer numerous opportunities for our parents to get involved within the school or their children’s individual classrooms through our V.I.P. (Volunteers in Partnership) Program which involves over 200 volunteers working in over 50 areas of school life. The V.I.P. Program is one of the most exciting and vital assets of our school because it allows school parents, grandparents, and friends to use their gifts of time and talent for the good of all of our students and the enhancement of our school programs.

We are excited and grateful for the many blessings we have received at Saint Thomas and for the many opportunities afforded our students. We invite you to visit us and experience for yourself the blessing that is Saint Thomas.
