Hot Lunch "Haute Lunch" Program
Saint Thomas is pleased to offer a daily hot lunch program to our students in grades 1-8. Our hot lunch is provided by Catering by Michelle and is served in the church basement. In the event of a parish funeral, students are given the option of receiving a bag lunch which is then eaten in their classrooms. Each day students may choose from a daily "A" lunch, a weekly "B" lunch alternative, or "C" lunch which is the food/salad bar. Milk is included with hot lunch or may be ordered separately. Menus are sent home in the Pieces (School Newsletter). Families must prepay for lunches by sending money to the office which is then put into their family account. A running account is kept for each family and statements are emailed on a weekly basis. Students with insufficient balances in their accounts may not order hot lunch until money is added into their accounts. Hot lunch may be paid for by check or money order, but not by cash.
Our hot lunch provider is committed to providing healthy, fresh and, whenever possible, locally grown produce and products. Almost all items and entres are homemade daily in our kitchen with fresh ingredients including our own home-made yogurt, granola and salad dressings, rather than over-processed foods. Our milk is provided by Mooville Dairy, a local award-winning dairy, that makes a special 2% chocolate milk specifically for Saint Thomas. .
